1. When will my Netflix order arrive?

Netflix ships orders promptly upon adding DVD's to your queue and you should receive them within 2-4 days of shipment. If for any reason there is a delay beyond the expected shipping date, Netflix will notify you. Please feel free to contact Netflix if you do not receive your order after 5 days.

2. What do I do if my rental arrives damaged?

Simply contact your rental company and let them know the movie is broken and then mail it back. You will be promptly sent a replacement movie or the next movie in your queue.

3. Does Netflix charge tax?

Netflix does collect tax in states where applicable. That tax is paid to your state and/or local tax authorities. Many states require tax on the total cost of your order.


4. Where does Netflix ship to? Do they ship internationally?

Netflix currently rents DVDs throughout the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska. We do not rent outside of the United States with the exception of the following U.S. Territories:

FPO and APO addresses
American Samoa
Federated States of Micronesia
Guam
Marshall Islands
Northern Mariana Island
Palau
Puerto Rico
Virgin Islands


5. Does Netflix offer different rental plans and monthly rates?

Netflix does offer different rental plans to suit the needs of our customers.
The standard plan is unlimited rentals with 3 movies out at one time. Available plans include:

Ultimate - 8 movies out at a time for $39.95, and
Plus - 5 movies out a time for $29.95
Standard - 3 movies out a time for $19.95
Economy - 2 movies out at a time (limit: 4 rentals per month) for $13.95.


6. What is the Rental Queue?

Your Rental Queue is the list of movies you've selected to rent. You can update or edit your Rental Queue anytime. Initially, we'll send you the first 3 available DVDs from your Rental Queue. When you're finished watching one of the DVDs you have out, send it back so we can ship the next available title from your Rental Queue.
To rent a movie, browse the Netflix site and click the Rent button next to any movie. This title will be added to your Rental Queue.

To adjust the priority of movies in your Queue , change the number in the Priority column and then click Update Your Rental Queue.

It's also easy to change the priority of more than one movie at a time. Simply change the priority of as many movies as you want and then click Update Your Rental Queue - the site will make all the necessary changes.

To remove movies from your Rental Queue, check the Remove box next to any movie and then click Update Your Rental Queue.


7. Can I pay with a check or be billed in the mail?

No. We require a valid credit card for every Netflix Service subscription, including all promotions. This is to verify account information, secure orders and prevent fraud. We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover, as well as debit cards with Visa or MasterCard logos. We're unable to accept checks, money orders and purchase orders.
We cannot process orders for credit cards with an international billing address or for credit cards issued by a bank outside the United States.


8. I have a free trial. Why does Netflix require a credit card?

We require a valid credit card for every Netflix Service subscription, including all promotions. This is to verify account information and ensure your identity. We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover, as well as debit cards with Visa or MasterCard logos. We're unable to accept checks, money orders and purchase orders.
Your credit card will not be charged during your free trial. Please note that we may validate your card by authorizing $21.95 at the time you sign up. No money leaves your account, but the authorization may show up on your statement for a short period of time before it lapses.


9. I have a promotion code for a free trial. How do I use it?

If you received a Special Offer Code from an email or as part of a DVD player promotion, simply enter your code in the box provided on the Netflix home page. Follow the easy step-by-step instructions to create your Netflix Rental Service account. Special Offer Codes cannot be used by people who are or have been Netflix members.
